Family Fun Night:
Dinner Out on Bardstown Road
Friday, March 12, 2010, a community Family Fun Night will
begin at 6 p.m. at 1722 Bardstown Road (The church that hosts the Saturday
Farmers’ Market). BoomBozz Restaurant will be catering the meal,
followed by homemade desserts. The church says, “It’s our gift to
families with busy lives to provide a nutritious meal that none of the
participants has to plan, prepare, or clean up. A nice meal on a
night-out.” Following the catered dinner, there will be organized,
collaborative, trust-building games and activities that involve people of
all ages. March 12 will feature a few basketball-themed events –
without the pressure of March-Madness. You can eat, play, and still
get home in time to put the kids in bed or tune in the Big East Tournament
on TV.
As a gift to families in the Highlands neighborhood,
Bardstown Road Presbyterian Church is offering a series of “Family Fun Night
along Restaurant Row,” as a time for families to reduce stress and increase
a sense of community and family fun.
Mealtimes in many family's busy
schedules are no longer "family time." This is an opportunity for
people to play, laugh, and learn about each other in a positive way using
“new games.”
The meal and the fun are free to families in the community. Reservations are required in advance and may be made below or by calling the church office (451-8305) to arrange for tickets.
